Meet the Doctors

Let me introduce myself

Brad Pins

Hi, I’m Dr. Brad Pins.  My life changed forever when I hurt my back playing football. I was seventeen years old and tackled someone by going head first. He kept running, and I ended up laying on the field motionless. I could not move my arms or legs. My entire life flashed before my eyes, and I was unsure if I'd ever walk again. It was the scariest moment of my life. I was so thankful when the feeling finally came back. I was rushed to the emergency room, and that is when the Doctors told me that everything would be ok. All I had to do was take these pain killers and muscle relaxers to get better. Months passed, and my pain would not go away. I couldn't play sports. Because of the drugs, I couldn't study. That's when my science teacher suggested to me that I see a chiropractor (Thank you Mr. Ross!). My parents took me to the chiropractor the next day, and I had my first chiropractic adjustment. After suffering for almost 6 months I was finally able to take a full breath without pain!  That was the day when life started coming back to me. There is no doubt that chiropractic literally saved me. It made such a powerful change in my life that I decided to become a chiropractor.  I could not imagine doing anything else. I’ve always been a natural “helper”, and now I get to help entire communities achieve better health through chiropractic!

I was born in Dubuque, IA, and grew up in a small Iowa town called Luxemburg. I was raised by amazing parents Bill and Grace Pins. Brian is my one and only younger brother who also holds the title of being my best friend. I attended  Simpson College, Loras College, University of Dubuque, and then went to Palmer College of Chiropractic . I graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1997. After graduation, I moved to Kankakee, IL and practiced there for one year. Then I moved to Memphis, TN for two years. After practicing in Memphis I realized that I wanted my own practice and that I wanted to move back to the Midwest. Thus, Pins Family Chiropractic was born August 7, 2000. I love being involved, and I enjoy playing just about every sport. I played football and baseball in college, but now most of my competitive spirit is directed towards golf, and letting my kids beat me in "the run and get you game!"  I love the Da Cubs, Da Sox, Da Bulls, and of course, Da Bears! I met my wife Cheryl here in Naperville, and we have four wonderful children named Jacob, Rachel, Nathan, and Nicole. All my children were adjusted within an hour of their birth, and continue with wellness chiropractic care. We feel blessed that they are four of the healthiest children we know.

In addition to caring for my patients, I enjoy being active in the community. These are some of my involvements:
• Original Owner and Founder of Pins Family Chiropractic Clinic, Buchar Family Chiropractic, and Chiropractic Health Centre
• Co-Founder of C.O.P.S, Chiropractors On Purpose Serving
• Backpack Safety Committee for Naperville Community Unit School District 203
• Lifetime member of the Coalition of Citizens with Disabilities in Illinois
• Team Chiropractor for Team Illinois Hockey in 2001
